How fit do I need to be to participate?
Before engaging in any exercise programme it is
both wise and advisable to consult with your GP to ensure that you are
well enough to participate - this advice applies to all ages and
importantly if you are not frequently physically active.
Most classes, unless otherwise stated are aimed at beginner to
intermediate level, this means that, while challenging yourself, the
class is doable and can be preformed to your comfort level.
All participants are required to complete a Client Screening Form to
determine whether the class is suitable for you - written GP clearance may be required for some individuals prior to
participation.
How can I get the most from my Revitalise option?
The World Health Organisation informs us that Adults (18-65 years old) require:
- 30 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity 5 days per week; or
- 20 minutes of vigorous-intensity physical activity 3 days per week; or
- an equivalent combination of moderate- / vigorous-intensity physical activity;
- 8-10 muscular strengthening exercises (8-12 repetitions) at least 2 days per week. WHO Reference
AND
Your Revitalise class will run from between 45 minutes to 1 hour. Your class, combined with activity on a minimum of two other occasions throughout the week, will ensure that you get full benefit - physically, psychologically and visually!
What should you wear to your Revitalise Class?
You will be most comfortable in suitable supportive sports clothing & footwear. Supportive, shock absorbent footwear is necessary for participation.
What will you need to bring with you to your Revitalise Class?
Please bring drinking water and a Towel.
How can you secure your place in a Revitalise Class?
Places are limited for your comfort and therefore allocated on a first come first served basis. To avoid disappointment pre-booking is essential. Pre-booking means providing Denise with your completed Screen Form, part/full payment and GP Clearance if required (see Screen Form). What else do you need to know?
As you will be doing lots of moving, jumping & bouncing it is advisable not to eat for at least 1 hour prior to your Class!
